Waikato Dressage Group May 12th 2013

A good performance today from both Manuka Magni and Manuka Meilekke. This is the first time both horses had competed on a grass arena in a very busy atmosphere and another step forward in the training of these two young horses. Unfortunately a low flying hot air balloon caused a little too much excitement today  and caused a degree of chaos and unsettled quite a few horses.

Manuka Meilekke was the star of the day beating her brother in both tests. Both are now understanding exactly what their jobs are once they enter the arena and what is expected of them at each level of competition. Our next outing will be at Elementary Level for both horses and it will be interesting to follow how they develop over the next few weeks especially in their lateral work.

We are actively looking for an event rider for Meilekke for the 2014 Eventing season and welcome enquiries from persons interested in a sponsored ride with a possibility with a view to purchase.
